NCDBS Northern California Dodge Brothers and Sisters is a group of
people who love and own vintage Dodge Brothers and Graham Brothers vehicles.
Our group is located in Northern California. We promote Dodge Brothers vehicles and Grahman Brothers trucks in our everday life. Oh, if you've ever wondered who those NCDBS members are shown on the upper page banner - from left to right they are: Barbara Boone, Gwen Cooper, Sherrin Grout, Donn Marinovich and Sue Horn.
The next gathering for the NCDBS will be the Gatsby Afternoon at the Dunsmuir House in Oakland, California. Click on "What's New" at the top right of this page for further information.
The next OFFICIAL SCHEDULED EVENT for the NCDBS group, will be the 22nd Annual Galt Old-Car Festival (September 28). This is another one day event held in Galt California. It is for Pre-WWII vintage car show (show and shine). In conjunction there will be a NCDBS Mini-meet at the show. This is a "non-judged" event and is held at a beautiful rural location - the MacFarland Living History Ranch on Orr Road in Galt. Contact the Galt Area Historical Society @ (209) 745-0951 for details. Pre-registration for vehicle entry is required.
Mark the dates July 20th through July 25th, 2009 on your calendars. It is time to look forward into 2009 for the 23rd Annual Dodge Brothers Club Meet at KEIZER, OREGON in the picturesque Willamette River Valley (a bit West of Salem). Meet HQ will be at the "Keizer Renaissance Hotel". A great meet is planned with tours, sight-seeing, old rusty but working iron, 80 acres of garden, museums and good roads with a winery stop or two. Plan now for this event, because the committe has been planning for your enjoyment. It will be worth your while to attend this "NOT TO BE MISSED' event! Keep an eye on this space. There will be more input as things get firmed up in the months to come!
“Discover the Other Oregon”
2009 – Dodge Brothers National Meet – 2009
July 20th – 25th Keizer, Oregon
The 23rd Annual Meet will be in Keizer, Oregon with the “Keizer Renaissance Hotel” serving as the host location. On your map, look for Salem, Oregon’s State Capital, a few miles south of Portland. Keizer is Salem’s neighbor to the west. The meet location lies in the Willamette River Valley, a lush green rural area, home to Oregon’s best farm land where world class vineyards, hazel nut orchards, flower and grass seeds are the primary crops.
Rural roads will take us on tours (not necessarily in this order):
1. The Oregon Gardens 80 acres of outstanding arrangements of ponds, fountains, lawns and flowerbeds that are more art than landscaping.
2. The Evergreen Air Museum, home to the “Spruce Goose” and several hours of Historical aircraft and displays. The Evergreen Air Museum will be reached after crossing the Willamette River on a wee cable drawn ferry.
3. Silver creek Falls and Historical Silverton. This tour includes covered Bridges and miles of opportunities to stop and peek at ten dramatic water falls.
4. The Oregon Coast and Pacific Ocean will be by bus with stops at Lincoln City, Yaquina Head Light House and the highly acclaimed Oregon Coast Aquarium, once the home to Keiko, the killer whale.
5. Brooks Steam-up – an old fashioned and very large display of operating machinery from yesterday, plus acres of displays of neat stuff.
6. Downtown Salem – stops at the A.C. Gilbert Museum, the Old Mill Textile Factory, Carrousel Displays and shopping
7. Tours – lots of good roads with a vineyard stop or two and picnic lunches. Also some of the tours will require simple navigation skills to gauge speed and time.
